Tiny Miracles

Ignited by Tiny Miracles, a social impact organization empowering women from underserved communities in Mumbai, The Tiny Tassel Hassle is a work distribution program for women (and men) who are stuck in a vicious cycle of poverty and exclusion from the economy.

What began as pretty simple order from Rituals (our founding partner) for 1.35 million bracelets, turned into a logistical nightmare of a program that ignited more than 500 people (who for some reason or the other could not leave their homes to work), and gave them the opportunity to earn life-changing income.

This opportunity came in the form of a specially designed box - a tassel making kit - with everything you need to make the perfect tassel. What followed was 4 months of frantic skill-training and decentralised work distribution across 8 communities in Mumbai.

The point of The Tassel Hassle was to prove that it’s possible to blend impact with production at scale. Sure, business will always be business, but it doesn’t have to be business as usual.
